Abstract

A quantitative description method on acoustic performance of panel piezoelectric loudspeaker was proposed in this paper. The panel piezoelectric loudspeaker sample was prepared by a kind of multi-layer piezoelectric ceramic, creating a simplified mode for the sample. A finite element analysis method of Sound Pressure Level (SPL) was provided to obtain Sound Pressure Level vs. Frequency curve (SPL spectrum) of the sample. Results of acoustic measurement by using Audio Precision agreed with the results of simulation. The gaps were 150 Hz, 2.5 dB, 0.9 dB on the first resonant frequency, the average sound pressure level and variance respectively, which verified the validity of the simulation method provided in this paper.
