Abstract

To study the gas temperature rising in the resonance tube, the model of the sonic nozzle-cylindrical resonance tube system was established. The shock wave theory was used to analyze the impact of the periodic shock waves and expansion waves on the interior gases. The analyses show that the shock waves arise and the expansion waves reduce the gas temperature. The gas temperature will arise by their combined effects. While the gas temperature arises, the shock wave heating ability weakens. As a result, the gas temperature rise to a certain value.
