Abstract

The cross section for the 8Li(4He,n)11B reaction, of interest to primordial nucleosynthesis, has been measured using the radioactive beam facility of RIKEN. The resulting reaction cross section was found to be larger than that estimated from the time reversed reaction cross section by a factor of 5.
