Abstract

A 2D mathematical model of a new sensor in electrical impedance tomography (EIT) system is established. Based on the model, the sensor obtains the information of both conductivity distribution and permittivity distribution of the cross section and provides a new strategy of dual mode excitation. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the model using equ-electrical field line backprojection and Tikhonov regularization.
