Abstract

The actual arrival time directly affects the travel experience, and thus influences travelers' route choice decisions. In a network with travel time uncertainty, the arrival time is also uncertain. In such a case, taking the preferred arrival time as the watershed point, we defined several possible segments for the arrival time, and then in the framework of the cumulative prospect theory, a new function of arrival time perceived value is established. On this basis, we assume that the cumulative perceived value is a synthetic outcome in terms of the travel gain, the travel disutility and the arrival time perceived value, and then build a static network equilibrium model based on the cumulative perceived value. Furthermore, the existence and uniqueness of the equilibrium solution are examined, and the solving algorithm is also designed. Finally, the two numerical examples are conducted to analyze the effect of model parameters on the equilibrium solutions.
