Abstract

Three different kinds of time delay estimation methods, the traditional correlation receiver, the method based on subspace algorithm and the estimator using the extended Kalman filter, are analyzed in this paper. The performance of these methods is compared in the multipath environment. The factors that affect their performance are studied. The advantages and disadvantages of each method are concluded.
