The optimization design of the Pickett Potter horn antenna for ka band

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

A Pickett Potter horn antenna feed for millimeter-wave has been theoretically investigated in this paper and a 34.1GHz scale model of a Pickett Potter has been developed and tested. The dual-mode horn has equal beam width between E and H patterns. The dimension of the antenna is fixed, according to the system requirement. The testing result shows that the antenna performs well according to formal design target and complies with the simulation results.
