The investigation of ultrasonic torsional transducer based on the FEM

Abstract

With the longitudinal polarized ceramics manufactured into trapeziform ones, an ultrasonic torsional transducer was designed and the vibration modes and characteristics were analyzed by the aid of FEM. The loci of the typical points on the cover were extracted. Finally, we utilized the automatic component analyzer and microscope to measure the vibration and characteristics of the transducer. The results showed that the FEM was a useful method to our design and analysis and the transducer had great properties and would be of significant meanings to the following application.
