Abstract

The hot fire tests were conducted on shear coaxial injector that utilizes gaseous oxygen and gaseous hydrogen as propellants. Through the measurements of chamber pressure and the wall temperature, the effects of oxygen injection drop on combustion efficiency as well as the combustion location of propellants were investigated. The results display that the lower oxygen injection drop results in higher combustion efficiency, and the variation of oxygen injection velocity has a little impact on the combustion location. The low oxygen drop could be selected for the design of gas-gas injector.
