The application of LDPC code in underwater acoustic wireless communications

Abstract

LDPC code is used in the underwater wireless communication system. Using regular (3,6) LDPC code, with LLR BP decoding algorithm, a simulation is completed in the underwater channel of constant speed of sound. The results show that: the bit error rate of 10-5 can be achieved at the signal to noise ratio of about 2.8dB, which indicates the high-performance transmission under lower signal to noise ratio may be realized.
