The 2-local ranks of large sporadic groups

In this paper we mainly study sporadic groups in terms of p-local rank, especially the 2-local ranks of some sporadic groups (Conway simple group Co₁, Janko simple group J₄, Fisher simple groups, the Baby Monster and the Monster M) will be given which complete the problem of determining the p-local ranks of all sporadic simple groups for all primes p.
