Abstract
The γ-ray emission in heavy-ion fusion reactions at low bombarding energy has been studied to investigate possible entrance channel effects on the de-excitation of the compound nucleus. The analysis of the experimental data shows that the charge (N/Z ratio) and the mass asymmetries between target and projectile could influence the formation and the decay of the excited nuclear system.
