Abstract

The 2D velocity was measured with Dantec FlowMap PIV system in low speed wind tunnel. The purpose is to investigate the PIV testing technique in practical measurement. In this paper the results obtained by different ways of scattering seeding particles were analysed. It is indicated that the best way of spreading seeding particles is spreading particles at the exit of the experiment section and letting them circle in the whole tunnel. It can be used to measure the flow field both at the lower speed and at higher speed such as 60 m/s.
