Abstract

With wide application of composite laminated structures, the repair problems are increasingly paid attention to. The scarf repair plays significant role in the laminate repair, and the tensile and compressive properties of repaired structures are the important factors to characterize repair efficiency, thus the investigations on tensile and compressive properties of the scarf-repaired composite laminates are extremely meaningful. In this paper, the current conditions of tensile and compressive properties of scarf-repaired laminates were summarized, the effects of material, process, configuration and environment parameters were analyzed, and scarf repair optimization schemes were proposed in order to provide a reference for scarf repair design of composite laminates.
