Abstract
A 3D model for the disc brake of a vehicle is established, the contact relationship of disc-pad friction pair is analyzed, and the temperature field of friction pair in braking process is simulated. Meanwhile a regression analysis is also conducted with LM algorithm. The peak temperatures of brake disc at different friction coefficients, braking pressures, initial rotational speeds and times are calculated in both FE simulation and regression analysis, with their results well agreeing with each other, verifying the correctness of temperature model built. The study provides references for temperature prediction in designing vehicle disc brake.
