Abstract
The microstructure of a rapidly solidified single crystal Ni-base super alloy treated by laserglazing was observed by TME and STEM-EDAX techniques. Various morphologies of extraordinary flower-like MC carbide of TiC type were revealed in the narrow interdendritic regions. While the superfine γ′ precipitate an higher density of dislocation were found in the γ matrix.
