Abstract
Based on the simulation analysis and experimental verification of rubber forming, the effect of different simplified rubber forming models on simulation accuracy of wrinkling in the rubber forming of convex flange was analyzed. It was proved that the accuracy and efficiency were satisfied with enhanced hourglass control model and by simplifying the rubber to C308R element mesh of 4 mm in the thinkness direction when using ABAQUS to simulate rubber forming of convex flange. Effects of process parameters on wrinkling in the rubber forming of convex flange were studied, and the optimal rubber hardness and pressure for rubber forming parameters were determined. Based on finite element simulation and experiment, the relationship between the limit shrink heights of the convex flange and gemetray was obtained. The limit shrink height prediction model of rubber forming of TB5 titanium alloy was established by using mathematical method, and the accuracy of the prediction was confirmed by experiment.
