Abstract
The full crystallization of the aluminophosphate form of the AFO (AlPO4-41) structure was realized, for the first time, from non-aqueous systems involving an alcohol as the solvent. Several secondary amines including diethylamine, dipropylamine, diisopropylamine, dibutylamine and dipentylamine were used as the templates to direct the formation of this molecular sieve. The products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, differential thermal analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis.
