Abstract

A functional simulation method is proposed in this paper to study the heat transfer process and ignition precursor in normal gravity to simulate the environment occurrence at microgravity. The concept and conditions of the functional simulation are presented. A wire insulation experimental facility is established. The results show the validity of studing the ignition precursor of wire insulation by the functional simulation method.
