Abstract

In view of the issue of choosing the failure distribution model in the reliability estimation of nonelectric products, the feasibility and dependability study on substituting the exponential distribution for the Weibull's under the condition of small samples is conducted. The criteria and figures of evaluation are established, and the statistical result is obtained through Monte Carlo simulation. An example of engineering applications is given.
