Abstract

Ambiguity is an inevitable problem for spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR). This paper studies the relation ship between spaceborne SAR ambiguity performance and system parameters. The method of ambiguity improvement is proposed. The concept of distributed range ambiguity signal ratio (DRASR) is presented and the corresponding mathematical model is established. The difference between DRASR and traditional average range ambiguity signal ratio (ARASR) is analyzed. The simulation results are also given in this paper.
