Abstract
In this paper, It is proved that a mixture of random noises can be represented by a signle equivalent ARMA (autoregressive moving average) model that is simple to implement. The method may be used for random errors modeling. We applied the scheme to model Fiber optic gyro (FOG) random errors. The components of random drift of FOG is analysised with PSD. An identification result from real test data confirms the validity of this approach. the output of FOG is compensated with the model. and the validity of the model is tested. It is shown that the result is greatly improved, and the random drift of the FOG is efficiently reduced.
