Abstract
The horizontal impact load of landing gear in the twinkling for aircraft landing is an important parameter for safety design and the analysis of landing gear. Dynamic data of the rotational speed of airplane wheel when contacting with the drop test platform has been measured by a non-contact photoelectric measurement method. And a kinetic relationship between the horizontal impact load of landing gear and the instantaneous rotational speed of airplane wheel was established. The maximum horizontal impact load of landing gear could be determined by the instantaneous rotational speed of airplane wheel when contacting the platform. In order to verify the correctness of this method, experiment analogue apparatus for measuring the horizontal impact load of landing gear was set up. Experiment results show that there is a good correspondence between the results of horizontal impact load determined by instantaneous rotational speed and the experimental data obtained by force sensor. The feasibility and usability of this method have been proved by experiment results and a practical method for determining horizontal impact load in landing gear drop test was also proposed.
