Abstract

Currently, the short calibration cycle of accelecromerters of a inertial navigation system because of the design and manufacture defects affects the operational availability of systems. In order to solve this critical problems, a mechannism-based analysis approach was presented. FMMEA is applied to analyze the stability weak link due to changes in temperature. The stress and strain distribution in accelerometer is analyzed under the temperature profile by using FEA/FEM. The result is that the major factor which affects index of instability in accelecromerters are structure and glued jointing process. It is valuable to find out the quantitative relationship among the feature parameters of temperature load conducted, the design and manufacture requirements of performance and structure, and the indexes of instability.
