abstract = "The vehicle body panel containing acoustic black hole indentations is potential to solve the contradiction between the structural lightweight and the control of vibration and noise. In this paper, a finite element plate model containing the array of five ABH indentations is established and simulated, and the power flow method is introduced to analyze the energy propagation characteristics arising from ABH effect. Then the average vibration power density in different plate sections is calculated to quantitatively study the energy focalization effect. Next, the plate model containing ABH indentations with damping layer and their energy dissipation effects are investigated. Finally, the radiated sound power levels of the structures under a given excitation are also calculated and discussed. This work is helpful to understand the characteristics of plates containing ABH array in reducing vibration and noise radiation.",
