Abstract

Low velocity impact tests were introduced into honeycomb core sandwich specimens with different energy levels. Some methods were used to study the damage of the panels after the impact. The role of the cloth on the penal surfaces was discussed. The relationships between visual damage, facesheet damage, damage of honeycomb core and impact energy level were also analyzed.
