Study on an evaluation method and application for the knowledge management system based on the socio-technical perspective

From the socio-technical perspective, the corporate knowledge management system is regarded as a social-technical system. Firstly, the main concerned factors in evaluation: Performance, function, environment, cost and human-orientation are comprehensively analyzed, and a set of evaluation index systems that include performance, function, environment, cost and human-orientation of the knowledge management system is built from the viewpoint of social-technical system. Secondly, an integrated evaluation method based on linguistic symbol operators is put forward. Finally, an online evaluation system is implemented and an application case is applied to illustrate the validity of the proposed method.
