Study of simulated Brillouin scattering threshold for ultra-wideband impulse radar pulses distributed over fiber

Abstract

SBS thresholds for monocycle and doublet pulses are investigated. It is found that doublet pulses having a higher SBS threshold peak power are more suitable for distribution to extend operating distance of UWB impulse radar.
