Abstract
The paper analysed the basic principle of Direct Alignment Algorithm (DAA) application to Strap-down Inertial Navigation System (SNIS), and it also validated the feasibility of DAA on fixed base based on the measuring value of secondary precision inertial devices. It concisely introduced the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and its searching process, putting forward a method which bases on the results of DAA to fix on the genetic space and constructing a fitness function. The results of emulation prove that compared with ordinary filter algorithm, using the DAA and GA together to SINS initial alignment on the fixed base can reduce the alignment time consumedly and get the comparative precision.
