Abstract
In our experiment, MeV C1+ ions and C2+ cluster ions were used to irradiate PC films. Through analyzing the absorption spectra of PC films, we have found that the ion implantation can result in the key break and flaw near the surface of the polymer. These changes alter the property of optical absorption of PC films and lead to obvious absorption in the range of visible light, which show that the absorption limit is closely related to the species, energy and fluence of the injecting ions. The XPS analysis of composition and structure of near surface of PC further verifies this conclusion.
