Abstract
The stress distribution of a steel wheel subjected to dynamic bending loads is simulated by using FEA code Abaqus to study the effects of loading modes on the calculated results of wheel stress. The calculated stresses at risky location of wheel under different loading modes are compared with test data. The results show that the stress results obtained under dynamic loading mode are closer to testes ones, meaning that it is preferable to adopt dynamic loading mode in simulating stress of steel wheel subjected to bending loads.
