Abstract

This paper presents a stacked dual-band circularly polarized microstrip patch antenna for GPS receivers. The dual-band operation is obtained by stacking two layers of microstrip antennas working at two discrete frequencies. Each of them is fed by dual probes. The technique of redundant via hole is proposed in order to feed the upper layer patch through the lower layer antenna. A prototype of the antenna was realized and the measured results are presented.
