Abstract

Stability of synchronous generator-rectifier system directly feeding constant power loads (CPLs) is studied in this paper. Stability condition is derived by small-signal analysis. The system stability is well improved through the method of passive damping. Simulations and experiments are used to validate the theory analysis.
