Spinning effect on solid rocket motor

Abstract

An investigation was done on the spinning-induced effect on solid rocket motor. The models of the spinning-induced effects upon propellant grain stress and deformation, thermodynamics and gas dynamics were set up. Based on the internal ballistics parameters, the performance variation due to these effects in solid rocket motor was compared and analyzed. The analysis showed that all results are reasonable and all conclusions are reliable, which can be regard as reference to the engineering design.
