Abstract

To meet the requirements of the target radio frequency (RF) hardware-in-the-loop simulation of the radio detonator, a method using a special phase lock loop (PLL) is presented. By use of the modulation signal detected from the detonator transmission signal coupled by the antenna and the time base for phase discrimination to control the power supply of the detonator, the output of the inner voltage-controlled oscillator is locked to the fixed frequency. The PLL offers the heavy current required by the detonator at the same time. The delayed pulse jitter is reduced and the exact delay time is obtained by using the PLL. The design and realization are presented and the test result is given.
