Spatial-interferometry-enhanced giant goos-hanchen sensing based on bloch surface wave sensors

Abstract

A novel in-line polarization interferometric scheme is proposed that leverages the unique spatial phase variations resulted from the giant Goos-Hanchen effect to further boost the position sensing signal by more than 2 folds.
