Abstract
In this paper, a spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging processing algorithm using chirp scaling (CS) algorithm is presented. Comparing with range/Doppler (RD) algorithm, this algorithm avoids interpolation, yet performs range cell migration correction accurately, so CS algorithm provides image quality results better than the precision RD algorithm. The algorithm requires only complex multiplies and fast Fourier transforms to implement the processing. This paper describes the chirp scaling algorithm in detail, and using SEASAT-A raw data makes computer digital imaging. The results show that imaging method presented in this paper is effective.
