Abstract

A new method which can be used to canstruct a H-type grid for cascade flow calculation is presented in this paper. To test the feasibility of the grid, the subsonic and transonic full potential equations are solved by using finite difference approximations on a transformed coordinate system. It is found that in order to improve computing accuracy and reduce cost, four conditions should be fulfilled in constructing cascade grids. Also, the artificial viscosity scheme should be improved for cascade calculations.
