Solidity character analysis of compressor cascade with splitter

Abstract

By the way of numerical simulation, the 60° turning angle compressor cascade with splitter and traditional cascade performance were computed and analyzed. The result show: Splitter compressor cascade has double-solidity character, and has the best performance when the solidity is middling or high, and the splitter length is about 60%~70% of principle length. The circumferential position of splitter has some influence on splitter compressor cascade. As the change of aerodynamic layout, the diffusion factor cannot predict the loss and boundary development of blade as in traditional cascade.
