Abstract

The software design for the AC-based ECT system is described. The first Windows 32-bit code for the system is written in Microsoft Visual C++, working under Windows 98 and XP. It can operate the ECT system with a single-plane sensor, a dual-plane sensor and combined-electrodes. The software supports sensors with any number of electrodes and different shape, square and circular. The amplitude, frequency and phase of the excitation and reference signals can be programmed. Three image reconstruction algorithms have been implemented, i.e. LBP, Landweber iteration and prior iteration. The software is easy to be operated and provides a user-friendly interface.
