Simultaneous radiation and conduction heat transfer in an infrared window

Abstract

According to typical infrared window materials characters of high-speed aircrafts and thermal environment of aerodynamic heating, a model of coupled heat transfer of radiation and conduction on infrared window was established. Ray tracing method and finite difference method were used to study internal temperature distribution of infrared window. The effects of material properties and thermal boundary condition on temperature distribution were studied. The results show that wall heat transfer coefficient and spectral absorption coefficient have a great influence on the inside temperature distribution of infrared window.
