Abstract

A virtual testing simulation system based on the shaker rigid and parameterized models coupling with flexible body of the fixture is presented. The multi-body system which is composed by vibration shaker and the clamping fixture is built up using the software Virtual.lab. The clamping fixture is modeled with finite element method. The shaker is modeled using rigid body. Considering the physical parameters of the armature, the control simulation using the software Matlab/Simulink is coupled into the Virtual.lab to finish the closed-loop control vibration testing. Then the virtual sine sweep testing for the clamping fixture is presented. In the simulation, the methods to obtain the transfer function of the system and the extraction of amplitudes of the output signals are also discussed. Results show that the virtual shaker model can simulate the real vibration test well, and the technique proposed can also virtually display the process of the vibration testing.
