Abstract
It is overviewed the method of reducing OFDM PAPR and analyzed the feature of the 802.11.g. We then conclude that the oversamples clipping could reduce the PAPR of the 802.11.g. Because of the large PAPR, this system requires the analog devices have high performance. The feature of ADC/DAC and amplifier will affect the performance of DSP systems. We analyze their feature and simulative models, with which we investigate the performance of wireless local area network system based on IEEE 802.11 g standard implemented with fix point DSPs. The amplifier and Effective Number of Bits (ENOB) model are used to simulate the fix point performance of DSP. We will provide the test results with different device's parameters which are important for system designers.
