Abstract

The analysis of orbital thermal environment is very important for nano-satellite's thermal control system design. A set of convenient equations and algorithms for the calculations of the variable space parameters such like of sun vector and earth vector were described, which were necessary for the analysis of nano satellite's external heat flows including sun radiation, earth emission and earth reflection. These equations and algorithms could simplify the analysis of nano-satellite's orbital thermal environment. As an example, the orbital thermal environment simulation of an ellipse-orbit space discovering nano-satellite was introduced. The results of the simulation were analyzed.
