Semantic SOA based integrated development environment for complex information systems

Abstract

To improve interoperability, resource reusability and agility of complex information systems (CIS), a new integrated development environment (IDE) is proposed. Based on semantic service oriented architecture (SSOA), this new IDE is designed for accommodating requirements involved in development life-cycle of CIS. In addition to providing a framework of the SSOA based IDE, some key enabling technologies including semantic service engine, semantic data integration, semantic service integration, and semantic description for man-machine interface are studied. Furthermore, an IDE prototype system for a kind of CIS, C4ISR, is designed and implemented. Feasibility of the proposed IDE is validated by application results.
