Abstract

This paper proposes a rotate Orthogonal Time Frequency Space (R-OTFS) waveform to achieve both secure and reliable transmissions based on the precoding. The information symbols in delay-Doppler domain are precoded by the orthogonal transformation matrix extracted from the equivalent channel of the legitimate user to achieve channel-based rotation. The secrecy and reliability are guaranteed by the channel-based rotation, which is constructive to the signal of the legitimate user, while degrading the signal intercepted by the eavesdropper. The R-OTFS signal exhibits Gaussian-like property and constellation distortion, making it difficult for the eavesdropper to decode the signal correctly.
