SAR Imaging Algorithm Based on Hilbert Transform in Long Wavelength Sar System

Abstract

SAR echo which only contains I signal occupies less storage space and is much easier to realize high-speed transmission under the same hardware condition. SAR system with narrowband wins many radar system designers' favor due to its simple and easy to implement. Due to the characteristic of their backscatter signal is sensitive to vegetation and soil, long wavelength systems such as P-band system are often used to monitor forest and estimate soil moisture. In this study, we propose a method to deal with SAR echo only containing I signal which is generated by narrowband system in P-band. The method focuses on generating I signal through I signal by using Hilbert transform. The simulation results have proved that the method is feasible and effective.
