Abstract

Cord reinforcement framework can effectively improve the rubber performance. The absence of cord may lead to potential safety hazard. In this paper, we successfully demonstrate the detection of cord reinforcement framework absence in rubber through comparison analysis the terahertz (THz) images with and without rubber inner cord. This work provides a solution for the rapid nondestructive detection of the missing of rubber inner cord reinforcement framework. Future work assisted by artificial intelligence enabled technology, we believe the intelligent THz imaging will provide better solution for rapid and nondestructive detection of rubber internal defects and other disruptive applications.
