Rolling simulation of floating body of wave power device on random wave

Abstract

In wave power generation area, sea wave acts on floating body and the floating body extracts the mechanical energy of sea wave due to its swinging. Modeling the swinging of the floating-body accurately is of great significance for analyzing the working condition of wave power device and evaluating its energy conversion efficiency. P-M wave-height energy spectrum was applied to simulate the wave slope angle of long-crested wave as the input of the rolling simulation of floating body using the linear superposition method according to real-time wave model. Then the floating body's rolling motion was modeled and simulated under long-crested wave. The results provide basic supporting data for further study of wave power device.
