Abstract
The 2A12 aluminum alloy has been widely used in the aerospace, defense and automotive industries due to its low weight and high strength. Meanwhile, roll forming, as a die-less processing method, has been used as one of the main forming methods for manufacturing large aircraft structural parts. In this paper, combining the experiments, numerical simulations and mathematical analysis, curvature analysis on the aluminum alloy profile with hat-shaped section has been studied. It shows that the forming curvature has an approximately linear relationship with the quantity for roller being pressed.
